Family-owned and deeply rooted in the Spokane community, Northwest Seed & Pet has been serving the Inland Northwest since 1944. What began with Harry Gross operating a small lawn and garden business from his home has grown into a beloved local destination for plants, gardening, pets, ponds and much more.
The business has continued to evolve through generations of ownership, and today is under the stewardship of Darfus and Crystal Moore and their daughter, Aubrey Moore, who assumed ownership in 2023. Alongside longtime owner and steward Bob Mauk, the Moore family continues to build on the legacy of a business that has served Spokane for more than 80 years.
Today, Northwest Seed & Pet operates two Spokane locations, on East Sprague Avenue and North Division Street, offering an impressive selection of houseplants, garden supplies, seeds, bulbs, soil, pet food, small animals, fish, bird supplies and more. Their team is also known for the knowledge and personal service they provide to customers throughout the Inland Northwest.
