Each year NNBA’s Board of Directors awards a deserving individual with a Lifetime Achievement Award. The category alternates between a Member and a Vendor. For 2024 it was time for a vendor to be honored. Celebrating Don Sprague and his contributions to NNBA as well as the industry at large, was an easy decision.
Don Sprague was known to many in our industry as a hard-working and kind-hearted man that his customers could always count on. He established a reputation as a creative and innovative craftsman. Examples of his notable ironwork designs included: “The World’s Largest & Smallest Hanging Baskets,” the Woodburn Outlet Mall’s “Petunia Tree,” displays at the Yard Garden and Patio Show, and the Farwest Show.
His products are for sale nationally through Don Sprague Sales and to the public at Garden Gallery Iron Works. Garden Gallery will continue to honor Don’s legacy and serve their customers with quality yard, garden & patio products.
Since Don is no longer with us, NNBA and Garden Gallery hosted a local gathering at Garden Gallery in Hubbard, Oregon. Don loved to gather with friends and family for celebrations. Don’s family, customers, Garden Gallery’s staff, and NNBA Members gathered to celebrate the award.
