Can You Lower Price and Drive More Volume (and Margin Dollars)?– Price sensitivity started before the current economic crisis, but has been magnified many times as a result. So the question looms – should you lower your prices in order to drive more volume? We’ll examine the effect of lowering prices on the bottom line as well as your customer’s perception and expectation of your garden center.

Life Cycle of a Retail Garden Center– You were an enthusiastic entrepreneur the year you established your garden center. Revenues increased rapidly, and by all appearances you were successful. But then problems developed over which it seemed you had no control.
All small businesses, garden centers included, experience stages of growth during which they experience either prosperity or a reduction in performance. Knowing how to recognize what stage you are at is a major factor in maximizing performance.
No matter the stage your center is in, today’s Owners and Managers have management decisions to be made. During this session, we’ll explore the entire life cycle of a garden center, including the decisions and ramifications that could shape your garden center’s future.
